23 November

Experts express their views on the implementation of RMIS and CAMI.Teleradiology

RTLabs has received COMNEWS AWARD, a prestigious industry prize For a Contribution to Regional Healthcare Informatization, following an assessment by an independent expert community of the several projects aimed to computerise healthcare across Russian federal entities, including the implementation of RMIS (Regional Medical System) and CAMI.Teleradiology (Central Archive of Medical Images. Teleradiology).
RMIS is a structured multi-component hardware/software suite that computerises and supports the operation of a regional segment of EGISZ (Unified Public Information System for Healthcare). RMIS is successfully operating in more than 1,500 medical institutions across 20 federal entities. The system makes it possible to computerise more than 40 key medical business processes, from basic (electronic medical record, registry, outpatient clinics, in-patient hospital) to highly specialised (pregnancy monitoring, nosological registers, etc.). RMIS is part of the Unified Register of Russian Programmes for Computers and Databases.
One of the functional components of RMIS is the Central Archive of Medical Images. Teleradiology (CAMI. Teleradiology), a Cyrillic PACS repository of diagnostic documents from all digital diagnostic devices of all medical institutions connected to the solution. CAMI.Teleradiology, a cloud repository of diagnostic materials, can be accessed from any device connected to the Internet. Its key strength is that it helps raise the effectiveness of healthcare institutions and the healthcare sector as such by improving the quality of diagnostics, storage and management of medical information. This solution is currently operational in seven Russian regions and is being run in a pilot mode in five more.
The COMNEWS AWARD is an award given to the key players in IT and digital services on the basis of independent industry-wide ratings and assessments.
